Event Details

The Hometown Foundation, Inc. has teamed up with The Connecticut Charter and Party Boat Association and iHeartRadio for the fourth year in a row to bring you Fishing for a Cure! This event will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 as charter boats go out on the Connecticut Coastline to fish for charity! All proceeds will benefit The Hometown Foundation, Inc.'s major illness pillar.

Friends, family, and fishermen will come together on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 for a day out on the water with 19 charter boats departing from three different ports to embark on a half-day charter along the Connecticut Coastline to fish for charity. Attendees have the option to charter a private boat for 3-6 people or purchase individual tickets to be aboard a party boat. They'll be fishing for the largest Scup, Bluefish/Striper, and Seabass and prizes will be awarded for the top three largest fish in each category. All boats will return to their individual ports and all participants are invited to meet at Mago Point Marina to celebrate with a final weigh-in, raffles, food, prizes, and more.

Boats departing from Mystic, Clinton, and Branford will leave at 12pm.
Boats departing from New London and Niantic/Waterford will depart at 1pm.

Upon return, participants are invited to Mago Point Marina (20 First Street, Waterford, CT 06385) to celebrate with a final weigh-in, check presentation, food, and more!
